Table Makeover With Ironstone Milk Paint

We updated the table that was in our dining room nook with this cute old table. We updated the table with a few coats of Miss Mustard Seed's milk paint in Ironstone. A bit of sanding with fine grit sandpaper brought out the detail in the turned legs and smoothed the paint. Finished it off with a couple coats of hemp oil.
Here is the before.
Mixing up the milk paint.
Using old buckets turned upside down is a great way to get a small piece of furniture off the ground for easier painting. I also find it easier to turn it upside down to paint the legs.
During the process of painting. Since the wood was so dark I did 3 coats of Ironstone Milk paint. The lighter colors take more coats to cover.
All finished and in its new home. And decorated too!
Loving the shape and size in this space. It's a great surface to display things on.
