Cheap and Easy DIY Burlap Wreath

I created a welcoming entrance for the door in our garage, since it is our main entryway. This DIY wreath was the focal point.

I created a rosette-embellished wreath for the garage entrance with colors that complement our garage. This wreath is our new welcome home sign at our main entrance.

I started with a basic foam wreath form.

I wrapped the wreath in burlap and secured the end with spray adhesive.

Then I created rosettes to embellish the wreath. I free-form cut out pieces of felt and fabric and stacked them on top of each other.

I secured each stack by stitching a button in the middle. I created a total of eight different rosettes.

I stuck the rosettes to the wreath using spray adhesive.

Lastly, I spray-painted a letter silver and stuck it to the wreath using adhesive velcro.

After the letter was secured, I was done!

I loved how it turned out! I spent about $15 and the project took a total of one hour to complete.

What do you think of our garage entrance? I tried to make it welcoming since it is the main entrance we use.

Very cute; love the classic simplicity of this. I'd walk thru this door with a smile everyday!

Stealing this also, simple but beautiful, I have tons of burlap and have been looking for projects to use them on

I'd sew the whole rosette together with the button stitch on my machine. Your major expense would have to be the foam circle, and that's nonsense, is it not? Try foam pipe insulation.

Where did you get the Welcome Home lettering from?

    • Living Rich on Less - Susan

@Phyllis Helms Price I printed it out on gold adhesive vinyl on my Silhouette electronic cutting machine. But you could easily stencil it and paint it gold, in a pinch.

    So cute! I love it!
