Fall Pallet Sign

We created a sign for our stone fireplace with some free pallet wood, paint pens and craft paint!
My husband grabbed a few pallets from a dumpster and he created the rectangle for me by removing the pallet planks and connecting them with 2 pieces of pallet wood across the back. We left the wood unpainted as I wanted the sign to feel weathered and rustic. I knew I wanted to use this Emily Bronte quote. I created the image of the quote (using Picmonkey.com), enlarged it (using Blockposters.com) and transferred it to the pallet.
After transferring the image by using chalk, I used a paint pen to create the lettering.
Next, I used some leaf stencils to create the different fall colored leaf images.
It adds just the right touch of fall to our family room.
