The Garden Seat Comes Inside
I was given a blue and white Chinese garden seat that I planned to use in our courtyard. First, I tried it out in our mudroom and didn't like the way it looked there. I had an ah-ha moment and decided to bring it into our great room and use it as an end table.
This blue and white design adds some visual interest to the room. Originally, I had a set of nesting tables beside this chair, but I love the way the little garden seat looks.
It's always nice to add an oriental touch to traditional decor. I was so pleased when the garden seat was the perfect size and style to fit in beside a chair we had custom-made for my husband.
This is proof that when you think outside the box, great decorating ideas can happen. I topped this little seat with a few pieces of antique silver and a small vase of flowers. There is still plenty of room to put a beverage. It is the perfect addition to our room.
