Ahhhhhh Peggy!!! Be still my heart! This is just stunning - and would be even more so on MY front porch. Picture 2 story colonial with covered front porch & white turned posts . . . .CAN YOU SEE IT??? Oh, and my shutters are green, just like the knobs on top of the four posts on this settee!! It was meant to be . . . just sayin ;~) -
Hi Susan, lol I wish it could be yours but it sold the first day at the shop and much to my surprise I saw it today in my own small town 45 min. from the shop! It was on the front porch of one of the older homes here and just looked like it belonged. I'm looking for another bed now to do another one but I'm kind of picky so it could take awhile. -
I love it too, so sweet! -
I can see this in a dining room w/Villroy Boch "garden" china. Just lovely and so fresh! -
Becky! You know how much I like your project! I think this is so clever! And the vine detailing is perfect! -
Oh! And I shared it on the Hometalk facebook page :) -
@Peggy - well how neat that you saw your creation proudly displayed on a front porch in your own town!! BTW - I sure hope you "sign" your furniture somewhere - please tell me you do????? -
Thanks for sharing my bench on Hometalk FB. And Susan I have never thought to sign it! Maybe I should start. -
Very nice! -
I think this is so awesome, Peggy! -
Well PEEEEEEGGGGGGYYYYY!!! An artiste' like yourself - get back over to where the bench now lives, knock on their door, and say "Scuse me, but I'm the artist who created your bench. I still have one small but important detail I need to add"!! I'm sure they won't mind ;~) -
lol She would let me. I went to school with the owner but don't know if she knows I painted it. She's quite the artist herself so I was honored that she liked it enough to buy it. -
Hey, having the artist sign their work always adds more value & of course authenticity. When fame reaches your doorway your work be even more highly sought after!! If it isn't signed who will know they have a real PJH DESIGN-One of a kind??
