From 80's Brass to Gorgeous Gold!

Don't pass up those shiny, 1980's brass light fixtures you might find at the thrift store or flea market! I found this one for $5 at my local thrift store. I was not sure it even worked, but for five bucks it was worth the risk!
Perfect style...perfect size...unbelievable price! I did not like the shiny brass finish...so a little DIY updating was in order.
After taking the lantern apart, I used my new favorite gold spray paint. Several light coats and I achieved the gorgeous gold finish I was hoping for.
Now look at her shine! I just love the shadows it casts on the ceiling of my new kitchen!
