Coastal Sunroom Reveal

Due to our dog being sprayed by a skunk, we had to redo this room way before we were planning on it. We had to rip out the rug and refinish the floors. We also painted every inch of the room in beautiful seaside colors and painted most furniture pieces which we found antiquing / yard sale-ing!

Here's how the room looked AFTER we pulled up the smelly carpet. Thank you to all HomeTalk readers for your advice on pulling the rug up! I shared the process of prepping and staining the floors on my blog.

This room is NOW the perfect spot to enjoy brunch, write or curl up with a good book.

Floors were given a driftwood finish to coordinate with our seaside life. Floor stain by Benjamin Moore and rug by Ikea.

Chairs were painted in Paris Grey Chalk Paint with drop cloth seats. Everyone helps with DIY in our house, even our youngest.

This room makes us so happy, for sure!
