I notice the walls in your dining room are wood. We have judge's paneling in our family room about the color of your before picture. Was there anything special you had to do before painting the wood? The lighter colors really add a lot of light and airiness to a room. -

This is so light and airy looking. Much prefer that to dark accents. -
the kitchen is a vast improvement....small kitchen...too much clutter on the walls..looks junky.."less is more"..sorry to be so blunt..from a designers eye this is what I see -

What is it about these pastel colors that just make you feel good? My new favorite is Valspar very light aqua spray paint. I've been using it on everything in my yard; my wooden chairs, my metal fence pieces, tubs, etc. What a transformation. It makes my gardens pop!!
