What kind of bush is this? I would love to plant more.

Would love to plant more, it grows so beautifully.

Nice full leaves, great for privacy.

Could you give a close up of the bush-like the stems and bark? were there any flowers and did they have a fragrance. I am assuming it is evergreen? my guess and this is a guess would be from the euonymous family. I would also look closely under the bush for any branches that have rooted that you could dig up and transplant.

If you are not 100% sure, then cut a small branch and take it to your local nursery. They will be able to advise you and let you know if they stock these and how to best plant them.

I believe it is Viburnum odoratissimum. It is quite commonly planted as a hedge in Florida.

Thx everyone, I believe Connie and Douglas are spot on. It grows wonderfully and seems to be pretty easy maintenance. There is another one I like called "Golden Dewdrop" maybe I will pair them up. :)

  @Lyn D Golden Dewdrop (Duranta erecta) is a wonderful butterfly plant. You might want to be careful if you have children, however, as the attractive fruits are poisonous to humans.

  @Lyn D Consider pairing it with our native firebush, Hamelia patens. I have firebush with Viburnum suspensum and they coordinate very well, I think. You do need to give them some space, as my viburnums are six to eight feet high and wide, and the firebush is taller than that. You can keep the viburnum smaller, but it looks much better if it is given some space and not pruned to within an inch of its life. The firebush is a magnet for butterflies, including our state butterfly, the zebra longwing. Viburnum suspensum has lovely fragrant flowers in the spring.

  @Douglas Hunt What do I do for tree fungus? I have a beautiful tree that has patches of ugly all over it. Some even have white shrooms growing on branches. I could google this, but since you are from here, thought you might know exactly what I am talking about.

  @Lyn D That just looks like lichens to me, which are completely harmless. If you have white mushrooms growing out of the tree, that might be a different and more serious issue.

  @Lyn D That is an indication of a problem within the tree. You probably want to have someone come out and take a look at it. Go talk to the folks at VerdeGo in Bunnell. They can probably recommend someone.

I would like to see the trunk or bark if possible. Also hard to tell the leaf pattern on the stems. But Douglas is typically right on.
