Hi, Lois. It's Benjamin Moore Quarry Rock, with a glaze of Minwax Chestnut Gel Stain over that. The technique is detailed on my blog post here: http://postcardsfromtheridge-angela.blogspo... -
this is an amazing use for a old buffet! I have never seen this before, had you seen it done somewhere? Wish there were additional photos showing the entire buffet. So jealous! my bathrooms are too tiny. -
Thanks! I had seen it before in pictures, mainly on pinterest. You should be able to click on the top right picture and see the whole piece, or go to my post for even more pics. Here's the link: http://postcardsfromtheridge-angela.blogspo... -
This is fabulous - love the color too! -
Thanks Kelly! -
This turned out so pretty!!! We will be attempting a similar project soon - I hope that mine looks half as good as yours! -
That is AMAZING!! -
Thanks, ladies! -
great idea, but did you add anything to make it taller? We renovated our 2 baths and the vanities were taller than our old vanities--we love the additional height as we are all over 5 ft 7in. -
This is a really great ideal and I love the look of your new vanity, very unique.I have never seen anything like this before and I love it even more that instead of throwing something out you found use for it. Great project and an awesome ideal. Looks amazing. -
Peggy B I didn't add anything to make it taller, but it is a couple of inches taller than the 1960's vanity that was in there before. My husband loves it since he is 6' tall. -
A project to be proud of! Very very nice!!! ........ -
I have been wanting to do this for YEARS to my buffet. It is so gorgeous in my dining room, I can't bear to part with it yet for the powder room! Yours looks GREAT! -
I think repurposing antique & older furniture is so much fun. How did you figure out where to cut the space for the bowel? Also, how many of the top middle draws did you lose to make space for the piping? -
This is what I wanted but could never find one that fit. I ended up getting one from HomeDecorators. Yours is much prettier and less expensive. -
Yours is so pretty! Love the color! I want a dresser like that for behind my office desk!!
-
Thanks! They're not too hard to find, unless you're in a rush for one, and then of course they're nonexistent! -
Love that blue! I did this 8 years ago in my small bathroom only used a dresser. I did a unique wall covering in it at the same time. I will post that as soon as I can get to my own computer. -
What a beautiful job you did! Absolutely love it! Now come and do my bathroom! -
Love it! What a beautiful piece! -
THIS LOOKS WONDERFUL, AND IS A GREAT IDEA!!!!I will never just drive by furniture I see left by the curb for the garbage truck.again.You folks have given us so many great ideas! -
Honey, this is spectacular....: ) -
Polly Zieper Let me know if you ever see something on the curb like this. The stuff on our curb is all true junk! -
Ours, too,Postcards, and even if I did see something salvagable, I think my husband would be too mortified to let me take it home! -
Unique
