Unwanted Plant Growth Between Concrete Sections
by
Abi
(IC: homeowner)
Desert Southwest experiences a "monsoon" season. This season adequate rainfall has caused outrageous plant growth - both wanted and unwanted. Need a quick solution to kill the plant growth between the concrete sections set in natural sand. Hours of back breaking hand pulling of plant growth - would be required. Finished the street section between the lawn and the sidewalk this morning before the 104 degree heat. Should I use vinegar or bleach. Do not want to use harsh chemicals, due to run off.

Douglas Hunt on Sep 01, 2014In a situation like that I would advocate for using a weed torch. Highly effective and very satisfying to use. Absolutely do not use bleach. See: http://www.colostate.edu/Depts/CoopExt/4DMG/Weed/bleach.htm
