AvonelleRed on Sep 01, 2014Without seeing a picture, I will suggest building a box around it, covering it with drywall, hanging a hook from it (if it isn't too low), and putting a hanging green plant on the hook. Or, you could build a box around it, cover with drywall, then put in some shelves below it the same width as the drywall box, so it looks built in. Paint it white or the same color as your walls.Helpful Reply

Kathy Watts on Sep 01, 2014Simplest way is in plain site. Paint it then I like butterflies or what ever the theme is. You could make it disappear into the wall.Helpful Reply

Rebecca L on Feb 15, 2015Brace 2x4's inside and just above the drywall. Drop the wiring for the light. Cut a piece of drywall and attach to the 2x4's so that it is even with the existing drywall, Drill a hole to fish wiring (to reinstall light).Tape & mud the seams & paint.Helpful Reply

Helen Cocuzza on Nov 11, 2016the easiest way is to clean the areas ( with a bleach spray) & repaint with mold resistant paint in a white or light color so it isn't just standing out, paint the pipe the same color- its more noticeable in your photo due to the deteriorating / rusting . Then if you are creative you could paint that area to look like a tree branch with vines / leaves going up & about that would just add character. Maybe a nice vining ivy in several tones of greens with the brown branches going from the pipe and just on part of the 2 other sides you don't have to do it all. I hope it works out great! ( you can google pix for vines/ branch murals, etc .Helpful Reply
