A Vintage Drexel Heritage Set in White

I purchased a vintage Drexel Heritage dresser and mirror for a client who had been patiently waiting for me to find the perfect set for her little daughter's room. The dresser was scratched up but other than that, in excellent condition. The mirror was also in fantastic shape. She decided to have me re-do the pieces in white. This way her daughter can keep them for years to come without outgrowing the look.
A "before" of the dresser. Such curves!
And here is the mirror. It is large and in excellent condition.
Here is the "after" of the set. I used Annie Sloan's Old White on the mirror and the dresser and General Finishes Antique White on the drawer fronts. This gives the piece interest as the drawers now have slightly more sheen to them. The warm white brought new life to both pieces and they will look amazing in a bedroom.
I stripped the top using Citristrip and sandpaper. I then used Minwax pre-stain conditioner and their stain in the color Early American.
The newly stained top complements the warm white. It also ties in with the color of the drawer pulls and the wood that peeks out from the distressing.
