How to clean really grungy wood blinds

We just bought a house and the wood blinds (14 sets) haven't been cleaned for a very long time. I spent more than 2 hours trying to clean 3 sets but they're not as clean as I would like. What is the easiest/best way to get them clean?

Bleach, then Murphy's oil soap.

Maybe simple green than a wood cconditioner

Spray Liquid Gold on a cloth and wipe on really well.

Unfortunetly the only way I get mine '"CLEAN" like i want...is to take them down, mine are easy, slip out, and put in the tub....wash, wash, wash!!!
