Ok, we admit that decorating shells can sometimes be...well...a bit tacky. But we think we may have found a way to make them attractive and useful. Read on!
Use up some of those shells you've collected on the beach this summer! September means school is starting and an opportunity for all of us to organize our supplies.
Cut out some beautiful paper (ours came from gift wrap made by Rifle Paper Company), use Mod Podge to past it on, following the contours of the shells. Then add a coat of Mod Podge over the entire surface to seal it.
Using a metallic Sharpie paint pen, label what your shells will be holding: paperclips, stamps, etc. Voila! A new set of desk accessories to remind you of summer as the cool weather starts to come in.
