Stairway Transformed

We decided that tearing the old lath and plaster out of our stairway was a bigger and dirtier job than we wanted to tackle. So we covered the walls of the stairway and the upstairs landing with beaded board and painted it white. The stair treads and face boards were all completely removed and stripped. The treads were left natural and a clear finish was applied. The face fronts we painted white. To finish the project, the handrail was sanded down and re-installed and my picture gallery was hung! We are enjoying having it finished! You can read the whole post here: http://www.sewafineseam.com/2012/07/transfor...
