How to "Upgrade" Your Electric Fireplace/Heater on the Cheap

When I redecorated my master bedroom, I wanted my (necessary) electric fireplace heater to look pretty as well as be functional. I did a makeover using a lot of things I had on hand, including a used kitchen cabinet. See the full post on how I did it here: http://oldewindmillfarm.blogspot.com/2012/04...

WOW! What if you have to repair/replace the heater? does it come out from the back? does the unit still pull out from the wall? You did an amazing JOB!

Sharron, unit is still fully portable. I could put it anywhere there's an outlet to plug it in. The back is open so the heater is accessible from the back. Thanks for your kind words!

No one would ever guess you repurposed any part of this. How smart of you to think of how to use cabinets, etc. for your intended project. This looks magnificent! I do believe the heater thanks you.
