Finally feeling settled in our new home! One of the first things we did was to widen the doorway to the "study," making it more of an open sitting room.
BEFORE: While we appreciated the builder upgrading this space to an enclosed study, we wanted to open it up a bit to balance better with the 2-story foyer.
AFTER ... much more light!
A bit closed off ...
NOT anymore!
I'm a huge fan of the 4-chair configuration ... was happy to be able to do it in this space! Thank you, IKEA for the very reasonably priced Ektorp Jennylund chairs!
Our focal point bookcase with a few splashes of Fall!
Our accent chest from Kirkland's made its way in here, as well ... now, to just find some pretty artwork to add beside it!
Enjoyed the project?
