Car890897 on Jan 18, 2015It might be Sorrel ... I've grown it for 19 years. It has a lemony, spicy taste, but the leaves are more pointed and Sorrel is a perennial plant. Meaning, it will come back every year even tons of snow and sub-zero winter weather ! Always picked it and ate it when I watered my herb garden!Helpful Reply

Patty Gonzales on Jan 24, 2015I believe it is basil. The leaves should be tender with a spicy , slightly sweet scent ans a spicy flavor. You should be able to tell by tasting a small pinch if it, or by rubbing a pinch between you fingers, as basil has a unique scent.Helpful Reply

Lindy Hall on Mar 05, 2015Looks kinda like sorrell AND mustard AND basil. Taste it. If it tastes lemony, it's sorrell. If it tastes nicely bitter, it's mustard. If the taste make you suddenly desire a steak dinner, it's basil.Helpful Reply
