When I bought my brother's log house there was a metal bed frame outside amongst the trees. My husband tried to throw it to the dump but I rescued it. I don't have a before picture here but just imagine it rusty. For more photos and information please visit my blog.
The trickiest part was attaching the wood to the metal. I did this by sandwiching the bar of metal that runs horizontally from one bed post to the other between wood. Once that was done I built the seat support out of scraps and the legs are from a chair that I had previously used pieces from. I dry brushed the bed frame with ivory paint.
I wasn't sure what to use for fabric until I remembered I had this piece, I love the combination of the antique bed and the perky fresh fabric.
