Headboard to Coat Organizer

I found this simple little headboard (and footboard) at a thrift store for $15 and knew I could do something with it. I had originally intended to make a bench out if it, but decided to do this intstead:

And after!
I cut the legs off first using my table saw. Then I painted it using Annie Sloan chalk paint in a mix of pure white and old white. I sanded the entire piece a bit before adding this sweet greeting:
It's almost as though this sweet piece is welcoming you home! I sanded again lightly and gave it a coat of clear wax.
...and gave it some fun knobs:
I added a hanger to either side and that's it. You could use this in an entryway, a bathroom, a child's room...just about anywhere!
