DIY Patio Set Makeover

Two summers of the hot Texas sun and chlorine got the best of my patio set. Instead of purchasing a new one, I bought Rust-Oleum Universal spray paint and gave it a new look. With the money I saved, I was able to purchase new cushions and I LOVE my patio set more than when I bought it! http://www.shanty-2-chic.com/2012/06/updati...

Great Job! I did the same things this spring with my old stuff. It was not rusted, but just old, out of date and depressing! I used the bright colored Restoleum paint that has 2x coverage and dries quickly. We were finished in no time and new cushions and repurposed outdoor items finished the project.

Thank you Jeanette! It's amazing what a can of spray paint is capable of:)

I need to do this so desperately bad. It only took you an hour? Gee, I may try it. I was picturing hours and hours and many coats. Thanks so much for the inspiration.

I was thinking of doing the same thing (we have the same outdoor set) after I had used the Rustoleum to spruce up a metal star we had hanging on the front of the house for a couple years. That looks brand new. Now after I've seen yours I'll do it this week. Thanks
