Chalk painted and glazed kitchen cabinets.

Chalk paint is great no sanding necessary. I used Annie Sloan chalk paint and mixed it with a dark wood stain to achieve the barn red. Then I used the same wood stain with glaze. When I was wiping off the glaze some paint came off too. Which gave me more of an aged look that I wasn't originally going for but it looks great an I finished them off with Annie Sloan wax. (new floors also)
This is the before. With the old floors and cabinets.

Donna Bavaro-Kennell on Nov 26, 2014I think they look great, Ive been considering painting my cabinets but I think I will put polyurethane instead of wax on them..Im afraid of the durability of the wax over time

Matrissia Regnold on Nov 30, 2014I agree after finishing the project and using polyurethane in other projects, I believe it to be more durable.
