The best way to redecorate? Move some furniture.

I've been working on decorating my dining room for about a year and recently moved a painted cabinet in to be our bar. Love those furniture slider thingies! http://www.decoradventures.com/2012/07/move-...

Sometimes all it takes to make me fall back in love w/ my house is moving furniture. And yes, those furniture slider thingies can become your best friend

Do you mean the furniture sliders they advertise on informercials. They don't seem like they would work. They actually help?

I use rugs or cardboard. Both work great.

I'm a furniture mover too. The fastest and least expensive way to give ones home a new look.

That said, I absolutely love you home! The wood work is to live for! Thank you so much for not painting it!

That cabinet looks great as a bar! And I agree with you about shopping other rooms of your house for furniture. :)

Jessie, I too think moving things around gives a new look to your rooms! Love the bar! Steve G, those sliders seen on TV work GREAT! And you can go to the big box stores and buy them. Sliders also come in more substantial materials...metal vs plastic....but I am not sure the difference is worth the difference in cost. There are things we could not move without them.

@ Steve - those slider thingies really do work around 90 percent of the time. I only have probelems with them if I don't have a leg to my dining room table on them properly. Then, the table moves, they don't. For heavy solid objects, makes moving things by myself much easier.

Good to know. Thanks for the info. I am automatically skeptical of most anything advertised on TV as a "miracle" product. Good to know these work.

Hello all. Thanks for the nice comments! And no Becky, we will not be painting any of our original 112-year-old trim, we love it as is :-)
