How to Apply Beadboard Wallpaper

Have you tried this wonderful innovation? It gives a finish like the real thing, adding architectural interest to a tired wall in this breakfast room.
The small half wall between the breakfast and living areas was just a plain, lackluster painted wall in the before photo. It's transformed in the next!
To prep, just wipe down the painted wall with a damp sponge.
This is the wallpaper... can you believe that look is achieved with wallpaper?!

Carefully measuring, cut out the pieces needed for the wall.

Using a plumb line (or a level in this case), begin hanging the paper.

Real or fake? No one will ever know! (Oh, yeah, right... except all of us Hometalkers!!)

I did the same thing in my bathroom a few years ago and it still looks great. It is painted with semi gloss paint. I also put paintable wallpaper that looks like a tin ceiling on my kitchen ceiling. It was quite a job for only one person but I did it myself by cutting into 4 tiles squares being careful to put one cut piece against the other cut piece so I don't see any seams.

Very inspired! I was in Lowe’s today looking at some of this for hallway. I retired this month and looking to do a project. Thank you.
