Lori J, Hi!!! Have you ever thought of possibly doing something to those mirror closets as with playing with sheer fabrics, or even sheer scarves? I, myself, love working with sheer fabrics.
I also have Formica in my kitchen and Rustoleum (sp?) has a new product out that you can use. I saw a commercial one night and sent them an email asking. They suggest using their primer first and then the counter top paint. I had also asked about my tiles and they said you could also paint them but to prime first.
Lisa, it's still holding up but it's only been a couple weeks. I want to wait a few months before I get all excited. The tiles are such low-traffic and don't get wet so it's a different matter.
Lee, this product didn't come with primer. It did come with etcher. But...tile is quite porous to begin with that it didn't seem necessary. I put 2 coats on and checked the durability. It was great. But, a sealer on top would perhaps be a good idea for higher traffic areas. And yes, a primer. Can't hurt...can it. I think the product for laminate and tile is different?
I did this about 12 years ago. I have since moved, but it had lasted 2 years before I moved. I bumped it before it cured and made a mark. But then let it cure for a week before putting up fixtures and it was fine.
My son owns a tub repair and refinishing business, You should see some of the old avacodo and harvest gold tubs and sinks he refinishes in white or almond. For less than $1,000 one can save $5,000/$8,000 to avoid tearing out everything and replaceing, which takes a week, or longer. He's in and out in two days or less, (on average). Looks like new when he's finished. Google Kentuckiana Tub Repair.
I don't think so. It is an epoxy paint....the same that is used to paint a sink. But, I did it a few weeks ago and need to see how it wears before I can be certain.
I painted my kitchen and it looks fantastic!! Not that hard...just had to use a special primer. Went to Sherwin Williams and they helped me through the whole job. LOVE IT!!
I am renting right now and I think the people who owned the house before did the guest bath tub and the tile also...not sure how well the tub went...you can tell it was darker before...but they also painted the counter tops in the kitchen...made a faux finish like granite...
@Sue. I don't know about that. I've had a few questions too. I think it would work...this stuff is tough. AND it's made for showers and tubs which is high traffic. But, I don't know for sure. I would talk to a paint shop to get good advice.
Cynthia, yay!! good to hear from someone who had it for awhile!

I bet he has seen some great "makeovers"
