My inside air conditioner unit pours water out on the floor

Woodbridge Environmental Tiptophouse.com on Sep 16, 2014If the unit is leaking out of the return air duct the drain pipe is plugged. Your saying your indoor ac unit. Is this a portable unit that rolls around to each room or a window unit or a whole house system? Once I know what unit it is that you have I can suggest methods of repair. On all of these units if the air stops blowing and it leaks when its turned off for a short while, This can be the result of ice build up on the coils. If this is occurring the unit is freezing and that is a sign that the refrigerant is low in the system or the blower fan is beginning to fail. In any case please describe a bit better the AC unit type.Helpful Reply

Liana on Sep 17, 2014We had the same thing happen to us a couple of weeks ago. Our drain pipe (for condensation I think) was clogged. We called a serviceman and he used a wet vac to suck the yuck out of the pvc pipe. Took all of 2 minutes! But came with a hefty bill. I had noticed a small amount of water about a month ago but after some of my male family members said not to worry, I just let it go. Well, now it leaked under our kitchen flooring and we may end up having to replace all of the flooring in our kitchen. I quick, cheap fix a few weeks earlier would have saved all this damage.Helpful Reply
