Help painting melamine furniture
I have no idea on how to start this project. I am not familiar with painting melamine furniture. Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas.

Jeanette S on Sep 17, 2014Melamine is a plastic...google it to get info. There are spray paints for plastic and they may be special ones you can put on with a brush. I don't know if chalk paint will work or not. But I would try to paint these and accent with color and knobs instead of getting rid of them. Those narrow depth cabinets are hard to find!Helpful Reply

Katie Casey on Dec 28, 2014Just use a shellac-based primer available at Lowe's or Home Depot. Then you can use whatever you want over it. Good luck!1 marked as helpful Reply
