Summer Decor Can Be Updated for Fall Decor

Since Fall doesn't typically last too long where I live, I don't want to spend a lot of money for decorations. Here's how I updated a Summer flower that I can use for Fall decorating.
I bought this metal flower last Spring, but was never too crazy about the paint job. But I liked the look of it and also the fact that it was made by a local Amishman from recycled metal roofing.
To turn it into a piece that I could use for Fall decorating, I simply painted it with a mustardy yellow paint.
I was going to use brown buttons for the center of the flower until I found this stretchy bead belt that was destined for the donation box.
After attaching the beads to the center with hot glue, I now have a sunflower-like wall art piece, perfect for Fall decorating. And it didn't cost a dime!

Jeanette S on Sep 18, 2014Do not redo this again! WOW! This is a perfect sunflower! When I decorate for Fall, I put out the Halloween in mid October, then swap out the jack-o-lantern for a pumpkin filled with silk flowers from the dollar store...not a lot of money and all of them are foam pumpkins. I can't afford to throw away money on different items every year so I too rearrange them! HA! This flower you did is just BEAUTIFUL!
