Make a Fabulous Fall Wreath!

With a wire frame, burlap, ribbon, a little cotton and your initial, you can make an easy, fabulous fall wreath to adorn your front door. All it takes is a little folding and tucking.
You need:
To begin make a large loop and secure it with the colored twists that come with the wire frame. Begin on the outside and when you've completed that, do the same process to the inside of the frame.
The ties that come with the wreath are available in a variety of colors. For this wreath, the ties are black.
Loop and secure. Loop and secure until your wreath is covered in secured burlap loops.
Repeat the process with the ribbon only just loop around the outside of the wreath. Loop, tuck and secure. Once you've secured the ribbon, take the stems of cotton and fluff them. Now work them into the wreath and secure exactly the same way as you did the ribbon.
If you want to add a splash of fall color, simply select a fall pick and secure it to your wreath.
Finally, add the initial (I used metal. If you opt for wood, be sure to paint it and let dry completely.) Secure the initial with the wires that are holding the cotton. And there you have it...a perfect wreath that will take you through fall with style and personality.

Saundra K on Sep 24, 2014Lovely, truly. Breathtaking. However, some 'caution' about where it is hung; at least from my latitude, environment. I duplicated this and hung it on the oak tree at our driveway entrance. Beautiful! However, not so beautiful to find that bats roosted in it, filling it with their ...... Maybe I'm the only one this has ever happened to?????

Julie on Oct 01, 2014Oh, yes....and bird's nests. The bird will beat you into the house if you disturb the nest in the wreath by opening the door. Then you open the windows and doors, in the middle of winter, chasing and flailing with the broom, while the icy cold permeates your house. The bird, however, is comfy.
