Custom Painted Projects

I've done lots of custom orders this week. This first one is an antique side table that I ended up having to remove the whole top veneered layer because it kept lifting after I would paint it. I sanded, scraped and filled at least 3 times before I decided to just remove it all. Well it wasn't as easy as I thought. Some of the veneer was glued on so much I couldn't budge it but I got a little help and finally I had a surface ready to paint.
This piece was painted in Annie Sloan Primer Red, distressed to show some of the wood undertones and finished with a clear and dark wax. Love this color on this style of table.
