Drexel Side Table

This beautiful little Drexel nightstand was brought to me by a client. It was worn out and very beat up, but it was still solid as a rock. She asked me to give it a second chance and I was so happy to help her out!
Before. It has all mahogany veneers, but the finish was completely worn through and there were dark spots on the top.
I sanded the whole piece down, gave it three coats of shellac to prevent bleed through, and then gave it 3 coats of ProClassic modified latex in Crème (sanding with 220 between coats). It's a latex that behaves like an oil and I love it. The hardware received a coat of Oil Rubbed Bronze.
After. A much needed face lift!
