I made a slight change to how the seat cover was held on the bottom of the seat.
I sew a pocket on the under side of the seat base and passed a heavy nylon cord thruogh it using a safety pin.
Nexted I tightened and tied it. That way there are no staples, a finished edge and the seat cover can be removed by unscrewing the button and loosening the string, in case it needs to be washed.
I inserted the cushions and gathered the centers tightly with a needle & heavy thread, making sure to add locking stitches to assure that it would not come undone.
This is the base.
This is the back ot the chair.
As I said it was quite a struggle to compress the cushion, so that the Button and screw went through with enough tread to attach the the nut - But I managed - obviously.
