Striped Painted Wall

During my son's bath time I was able to knock out this striped painted wall in my master bath. It's super quick and easy!
The first thing I did was plan out how wide I wanted my stripes to be (12 inches). Then I started marking them using my level making sure to mark the wall every foot or so with a light pencil mark.
I have a tip on my blog that tells you how to mark your wall and cover the marks as you paint so when you're done, you are actually done. Come on over to Slightly Coastal to find out how I did this before my son's water turned cold.
The paint lines look a little messy here, but I actually took the original wall color and slightly painted the edges of the tape where I was painting the white stripes. I let it dry while I played some fishing games with him while he took his bath. Then when it dried I painted the white stripes leaving nice crisp lines. It's that easy and fast. Plus, this is a very low cost way to add a little punch to your room.

Vic310860 on Oct 10, 2014Have done this job - it's a big job to make sure that the lines are straight. I used the same wall colour and changed up with varnish instead of a different colour - looked GREAT
