Want your special letter that only you have? This project can be done by anyone! The joy of this project is that "YOU" pick out what best expresses your taste.
I made two Letters. I will guide you on each step I made as to make it easier for you to get it going :)
Get yourself a wooden letter. I got mine from Hobby Lobby, but places like Wal-Mart also carry them. Any piece of paper will do. Does NOT have to have sticky adhesive. Just plain O' paper. Hobby Lobby has a HUGE variety to choose from. So many designs!!! START: by placing your letter on the back of paper and trace it out.
Now that your letter is traced out, time to cut!
I used Mod Podge, that can be purchased at any craft store or even Wal-Mart. To adhere the paper to the wooden letter simply get yourself a sponge brush and apply a thin coat to the wooden letter, paying attention that your edges are done as well. Carefully place your paper onto the letter and gently smooth out with your fingers. I would do the smoothing out for at least 2 minutes. Let dry for 3 hours. Once it drys, you will then put a coat of the same Mod Podge to the top of the letter. DON'T WORRY, it WILL dry clear once dry. I usually wait 1 hour between coats and do two coats.
This step is not required, but I personally spray on this sealer to add a more smooth and durable finish. I got it from Wal-Mart.
THE FUN PART!!!! Get yourself some E6000 glue (sold at many stores). I use this to adhere all my special chosen decal pieces that were all purchased at Hobby Lobby (clearance)!! ;) Have fun with it and I would recommend you do a test run by playing with your placement prior to gluing.
FINAL Of My Two Letters :)
