Wheeled Cart Makeover

I got this old metal cart from my neighbor with plans on how to give it a facelift. Check out what a little paint and a burlap bag can do....
Here is the cart after I removed old contact paper from it. For a great tip on removing old contact paper, check out the link to our blog post below....
First I spray painted the posts with Krylon Color Master spray paint. I love that it has primer and paint in one.
Next I used newspaper and painter's tape to tape off the posts.
Next came a couple coats of this yummy color also from Krylon...So beachy...
Time to remove the paper....
The top needed a little something so I used this awesome stencil from DecoArt and Chalky Finish paint from DecoArt as well.
There is still a little rust texture under the paint but it looks so much better than when I started.
A burlap coffee sack gets cut, clipped and added without sewing.... A great way for hidden storage...
A couple of clothes pins holds this temporarily...That way if I decide to change it, the burlap can be easily removed and repurposed.
A quick coat of Krylon clear spray protects the stenciled top. Done in an afternoon.... I love that it has wheels and is small enough to fit anywhere. Thanks neighbor!

My mom had 2 roll carts in her kitchen, in very excellent condition, just need a little TLC. I took them apart & spray painted the same color, bright yellow & green. They look brand new. So they don't scratch I used saran wrap paper on shelves & placed beautiful linen napkins that my mom embroidered with kitchen stencil designs.
