Great Kitchen Accessory!

I am sure all of you have seen these "Watermelon" knives advertised in all the grocery ads! Well, Hubs brought one home after he had struggled with a regular large kitchen knife trying to cut a watermelon. My first thought was, "where in the world arm I going to put that thing!" And I figured I would never use it! WAS I WRONG! It is one of my favorites. It is like using a saw. We have had a WalMart grocery store open close to us and the fresh baked breads are one of our favorites. I prefer the unsliced bread because I like it thicker and this knife is PERFECT for my bread! They are only between $4-6 and well worth it.
Since we do not have little ones in the house, I used 2 strips of stick on Velcro to attach it to the back edge of the refrigerator. I am careful pulling it out and putting it back in the sheath so as not to dislodge it.
Oh, I should mention that it is also great for cutting watermelons...ours were particularly good this year!

Great idea& it can be use for pumpkin - banana & all kinds of bread. All gluten free of course !
