This is my painted floor,

In the basement (concrete) has shading in terra cotta to give a more realistic tile look, has held up extremely well.

Sheila T., it looks like authentic tile. Great job; love the warm terra cotta color.

Thanks Lori, Yes, i damp mop to clean!

Dee, i used a grey color primer/sealer believe it was byher product (that too looked great!) i acid washed cement prior to remove any residue's etc then the making & painting..... I used the same product and had it tinted the terracotta color for tile. i masked & painted for grout lines, did that with a mini roller in brown acrylic paint from craft store. i covered each tile with a brown ...»

square cut from paper bag approx. 2- 3 inches smaller and shaded outer edges using a brown spraypaint (very light coat almost an overspray, can be done with a dry stencil brush however more time consuming.... i polyurethaned it using a satin to give a sheen and not too slippery when wet. It has held up awesome.

& Thanks Becky, yes terra cotta goes with just about any decor and just dark enough to conceal any concrete flaws.

Dee it was more work than expense, my room is a good size and this goes down a hall and entryway, so a little painful on back & knees but once started and hubby decided he liked it, he ended up finishing it with me. if the floor is considerably clean the product can go right on. He second guessed me the entire time saying" it wouldn't stay down" what do men know!! LOL proved him wrong!
