Wood Tray Embellished With Mod Melts and Collage Clay

This piece was inspired by turquoise jewelry. When I first saw these amazing Mod Podge Mod Melts molds in nature shapes and geometric designs, I knew I wanted to try to create something that reminded me of southwestern art. I combined several different products to create a a detailed jewelry tray.
Supplies needed to make your own decorative Mod Melts tray:supply-list

Unfinished Wood Tray

Collage Clay: Vanilla

Mod Podge Rocks! Stencil in Woodgrain

Mod Podge Mod Melts Silver Metallic Sticks

Mod Podge Mod Melts Molds in Mystical Forest and Patterns

Glue Gun & Glue Sticks

Craft Paint (I used Turquiose)
Spread collage clay over the base of the tray, and gently press the pattern rectangles into the clay. Smooth out any excess clay. Set it aside to dry.
This tray looks great on my son’s desk, and he uses it to hold his bracelets, loose change, and other small items. I love how versatile the Mod Podge line of products are, and it’s fun to play with the melts, clay, and stencils to create unique items!
