Powder Room Makeover

My neglected little powder room needed a makeover. After getting a $537 estimate from a local plumber just to replace the toilet, I challenged myself to makeover the room (including replacing the toilet) for less than that. Was this something I could do myself? Was I up for the challenge? You bet!
Not only did I replace the toilet, I replaced the useless-to-me pedestal sink with a vanity. While I did need help to carry the heavy stuff, I am happy to say that I pulled off this makeover by myself and learned a lot along the way.
There were many "firsts" for me in this makeover: installing glass tile, wood trim, replacing baseboard, and adding crown molding.
Did it all go as planned? Not entirely. I had to resort to a Plan B once or twice.
But the end result is my pretty new powder room.
It was definitely worth all of the video-watching and article-reading to learn how to do all of this by myself. It certainly gives new meaning for me to that old saying: "If you want something done, do it yourself"!
