Antique Fireplace Log Roller Centerpiece

I picked up this antique iron fireplace log roller at a garage sale. I got a boatload of stuff with it and only paid $13! This piece is so fun and makes a great little fall centerpiece!
The rust on this is a perfect match for some beautiful fall color!
I added a few leaves from the dollar store and some gourds for decoration and color.
Here is a picture of some of the beautiful ironwork on the log roller. I'm sure I'll be decorating with this for Christmas, too!
I sprayed this wonderful rust with some clear coat and I painted the handle with turquoise. Orange and turquoise is my favorite color combination for fall. Other than that, the log roller was perfect just the way I found it!
Although I think this would make a wonderful centerpiece on the table, I'm using it right now on the sideboard in our dining room instead. I'm hoping to refinish my dining room table soon, and then I'll add a pretty table runner and my new centerpiece!

@Chris aka monkey I had never seen one myself. When I bought it, I didn't know what it was. But a friend told me that's what it was so I looked it up and, yep, he was right! It's a fun find!

Gorgeous. I would have automatically gone to a planter, but this is lovely. Nice combination of materials and textures and colours.

@Adventures In Junking I, too, had originally thought of using it as a planter. I'm thinking I might do that next spring. But, in the meantime, I will probably do something different around the holidays with it, too! Thanks for the comment!
