What color to paint kitchen chairs?

Kitchen table is a medium stained wood. Primitive red colors are through out the house and kitchen. I'm trying to decide between black or a red shade for the chairs.

our house is total oak; so I have to consider colors that go with that wood. We just painted our kitchen an apple green from home depot; acutually 'eco green' You can go to the behr color select site http://www.behr.com/consumer/colors/paint?color=PPU8-5#paint the color is actually darker then on the walls, because of white framing. You can buy sample jars of paint we also used black accessories for the kitchen, including black gingham curtains
