I sanded the whole top. And began to think and think and think. I had know glue what I wanted to do next. At first I thought I would stain the whole piece, but then I came across something called chalk paint.
After seeing how expensive it was I decided to make my own. I went to lowes bought a container of Plaster of Paris and a sample size of dark brown paint and white paint. Also bought some paste wax to the piece a slight shine.
As you can see she is not quite complete, need to find two more nobs. But overall she turned out better than I expected. I used about half cup of Plaster, 2 tablespoons of water and mixed that together.
