How to re-do your stairs
-
The Chirping Frog on Oct 02, 2014I just pulled carpet up and painted stairs..... it's time consuming but not all that difficult. To get started just find an edge and start pulling it up. I have a floor scraper (can find at your local hardware store in the flooring department) and I used that to scrape up any tacking strips and staples..... it doesn't get all the staples so used a screwdriver and pliers to pull any that are left out. A friend of mine uses a flathead shovel to scrape... the edges curl a little but it works also.... that'll get you started.Helpful Reply
