Here's a table I created by using a vintage Duncan Phyfe style table base along with a new 36" round wood piece. The carving was done with a dremel. Voila!
Here's the complete table. I used a vintage Duncan Phyfe style table base that had no top as my new table base. It worked great for the 36" round I bought at Lowe's.
I distressed the table just a little and used some dark wax to give it more depth.
I used a dremel with a flex shaft and some burring bits to do all the carving work.
The paint I used is General Finishes' milk paint in Halcyon Blue. The dark wax is Annie Sloan.
Aerial view!
