Easy
Recycle vintage jello molds into a bright and festive Halloween Wreath!
I picked up some old jello molds at a thrift shop and spent a lot of time daydreaming about what I could create with them
To me, they looked like pumpkins. So I decided to recycle/upcycle them into a happy hued Halloween Wreath.
First, I wrapped some burlap ribbon around a metal wealth frame.
Then I cleaned and dried the mold. My first challenge was working through how I could fasten the molds to a wreath form. Since they're metal I wasn't sure how it was going to work. My first thought to use hot glue, but I was worried the molds would be too heavy. I tried punching holes with a Crop-o-Dile and it worked!
Next, I spray painted the different Jello Mold shapes two shades of orange.
I attached one mold to a large bow with wire.
I used seam binding to attach the rest of the molds to the wreath. Then I added a small piece of chenille stem and a little leaf to finish off the "pumpkin" look on the smaller molds.
Next I punched a circle out of orange card stock as well as a jack-o-lantern face from brown card stock and used Glue Dots to attach the faces to the larger jello molds.
