concrete walkway and steps that are now there. The yard is on a slope and the earth around the bottom step has apparently settled over the years making the first step a real doosie...especially for my elderly friend who rarely comes to visit because the access to my fornt door is difficult for her to manuver when she has to use her walker or canes. The photo is from the listing realestate website last summer prior to my purchase this spring. Hopefully it is good enough to provide an idea of what I am trying to accomplish. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I am thinking along the lines of landscaping the ramp in to make it look like it really belongs there rather than building an actual wheel chair ramp. I want a more natural look for something I may need down the road as I age also. Maybe pavers or compacted stone path....

I'd do a re-form and basic "pour-over" to form the new design. I'd heep the down slope to the street and add a curve at the landing to swing towards the driveway and have a similar down turn towards the center from the side door. Add an oversized apron leading to the driveway and it should look attractive and functional...Best to you, please post some pix about what you decide on! JL
