The Lemonade Stand That Junk Built

This is the lemonade stand that junk built. My first DIY built from scratch with only the junk I had on hand.
At the beginning of Summer, I promised my little girl that I'd build her a lemonade stand before the season was over. I put it on our "summer bucket list" which made the idea permanent and held me accountable.

I wanted to create something for her that she could reuse again and again, and not just for lemonade. She likes to create odds and ends, jewelry, etc and I wanted something neutral that could work for a pop-up shop, a hot chocolate stand, and for Girl Scout cookie sales in the Spring.

This truly was my first ever build from scratch. I had to use scary power tools that I had never braved alone before. I am one with my drill, but the hand saw was a little different. This project got me out of my comfort zone, and I am so glad it did. I always find myself pushing to the next level for my kids, because it gives me such pride to do something special for them. I want them to look back on these experiences fondly and enjoy the special time together these activities allows us.
We had a grand opening and invited all her friends to help with our inaugural sale. It was such a heartwarming experience. All the kids were so excited to participate and felt so big to have their own little "store".
Every single inch of this project was carefully thought out. There are details that no other lemonade stand (I've ever seen) has and the kids relished in them all from the foldable chalkboard to the tip bucket to the "YUM" sign.

What's more is that it was made with love for my loves.
