Put in back splash recently. Did my best to get all grout off, but still looks very cloudy on the stone.

The best thing to use is Grout Haze Remover and cheese cloth to scrub. You can usually find both at your local big box store. You can also do custom mixes with cleaning ammonia and water (amongst other things), but the Haze Remover usually works pretty well.
  • South has it right. Only thing is you need to be careful. Haze remover is an acid. It can damage the surface of the stone if your not careful. Try a very small area first to assure your not damaging the stone. Be sure to wear gloves and eye protection when working with this product.

A very soft baking soda paste will take it off without harming the tile....
