Rhonda B on Oct 09, 2014Definitely Acer spp. (Maple) not sure which one. Possibilities are Silver, Red, or Sugar Maple. A better shot of the top and bottom of the leaf and leaf stem would help.Helpful Reply

Wanda sinnema on Oct 09, 2014its a maple,,,variety unsure..BUT MOVE IT.....some varietie can get 35 ft tall..and do damage to the sidewalks and foundations..Helpful Reply

Katie on Oct 11, 2014I have a silver maple in my yard and this one you have could be the same. Please move it. They are absolutely gorgeous trees but become huge…and I do mean huge! Mine is over 50 feet tall. It makes lovely shade and as a fairly shallow root system. Try to place it somewhere the ground will not be too disturbed and somewhere in your yard where you can watch it turn into the most majestic tree in the neighbourhood.Helpful Reply
